Statement-I : The carbon-carbon double bond in propene `(CH_3CH=CH_2)` undergoes electrophilic addition, whereas the cabon-carbon double bond in acraldehyde `(CH_2=CH–CHO)` undergoes nucleophilic addition.
Statement-II : In propene, the electron-releasing effect of `CH_3`– group causes its double bond to act as an electron-pair donor whereas in acraldehyde, the –R effect of –CHO group causes its double bond to behave as an electron-pair acceptor.
